Thanks for joining me!
This is a blog dedicated to the life, spirit, and art of knitting. I review new books on knitting, share insights and experiences about knitting, and write thoughts about the practice and art of knitting.

Frequent topics of my blog posts are listed on the sidebar. My Facebook page, instagram page, and twitter accounts are also featured there. Feel free to comment, share, or follow any or all of these accounts.
Be sure to check out my new series, The Prayer Shawl Chronicles. The Prayer Shawl Chronicles: Stories of Unlikely Connections & Unexpected Gifts is the first in the series. This is a collection of interrelated short stories based on women who knit prayer shawls, their stories of healing through knitting, and the amazing connections between the knitters and those who anonymously receive these knitted gifts. Set in and around an Episcopal church in Tennessee, this short but sweet book will make you laugh, cry, and think about why we knit and how much our knitting might mean for others. Available in paperback, e-book, and included in Kindle Unlimited at this link.

The second book in The Prayer Shawls Chronicles is The Knitting Guild of All Saints. This novel follows the characters from Book One and introduces new characters as well. Romance blooms, unlikely connections are made, and characters find themselves in unlikely places and situations. Available in paperback, e-book, and included in Kindle Unlimited at this link.

The third book in the series is Knitting Through Time: Stories Of How We Learned to Knit. This book imagines how knitting was invented centuries ago in the Middle East and spread through Spain throughout Europe and into the Americas. There’s quite a bit of early church history in this book, including characters who are Desert Mothers and Beguines. As a history major, I loved writing this book, my first historical fiction.

Finally (for the time being), I have A Prayer Shawl Handbook available. This non-fiction book contains the history of prayer shawls, the definition of a prayer shawl, how to use them, and how to make them. Simple patterns appropriate for beginners, prayers, and liturgies are all included.
